A Windy City school breezed into Hollywood last week and landed on the CBS lot Friday.
CBS Studios’ Bungalow 25 now is the home of Columbia College Chicago film school’s Semester in L.A. program, making it the only film program located on a studio lot.
Columbia alum and Hollywood vet Robert Enrietto, who spearheaded the program, said the semester is designed for “students to pitch their scripts to real development people.”
Columbia College president Warrick Carter said the entertainment industry has embraced the students and “really tells them the truth.” Producer Glen Larson offered advice to students. “It helps to have talent, but just as important is drive.”
Among those in attendance were president of the CBS Studio Lot Michael Klausman and guests Jerry Vasilatos, Marlon West, Carl Seaton, Toni Sherwood, Jim Mulay and Kevin Moriarty.
