Preem's attendees trumphet pic's 'family values'
As Providence preemed “The Amati Girls” at the Mann Regent in Westwood Thursday night, the film’s cast and crew just couldn’t stop trumpeting the pic’s family values.
“This film is separate from the studio films we tend to do. This time, we were specifically looking for family-driven, relationship-driven, character-driven projects — which we affectionately refer to as films that don’t rely upon bombs, babes, hot rods or aliens — and that is precisely what this film is,” said Craig C. Darian, who exec produced the pic with Howard Kazanjian.
Partying at Tanino after the preem were Providence CEO Victor Vanden Oever and prexy of production and acquisitions Cindy Bond; Fox Family senior VP Tom Halleen; co-exec producer Kazanjian; producers James Alex and Steven C. Johnson; pic’s Cassie Cole, Edith Fields, Lee Grant, Cloris Leachman, Marissa Leigh, Dinah Manoff and Kyle Sabihy; and guest Michael Des Barres.
