Another helping of ‘Pie’

It's funny, raunchy ... has likable characters, Biggs sez

Universal served up seconds of “American Pie” to an enthusiastic and decidedly twentysomething crowd Monday night at the National in Westwood.

At the after-party at a nearby converted parking lot, pic’s star Jason Biggs said: “I think this movie works for the same reasons the first one worked. It’s funny, it’s raunchy but has likable characters with real-life problems.”

Among those on hand were U’s Ron Meyer, Stacey Snider, Rick Finkelstein, Marc Shmuger, Mary Parent and Scott Stuber; director J.B. Rogers; stars Shannon Elizabeth, Alyson Hannigan, Chris Klein and Eugene Levy; plus guests Rosario Dawson, Steven Fenton, Amy Heckerling, Orlando Jones, Neal Moritz, Marc Platt, Michael Shamberg, Joel Silver, Harvey Weinstein and Motorola’s David Pinsky.
