Walter Craig

Walter Craig, longtime AFTRA and Screen Actors Guild member, died Aug. 26 at Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. He was 77.

An actor and comedian, Craig began his career at an early age with a part in the New York stage production of “Life With Father.”

Craig, also known for doing impressions, performed on radio and TV, particularly at local affiliate stations in Las Vegas and Tulsa as well as series such as “Dynasty,” and did voiceovers for various movies.

He spent most of his time traveling nationwide and abroad with his musical variety show, entertaining in schools and women’s clubs with solo acts or with a partner. He also was joined onstage by his pet monkey, Joey.
