HOLLYWOOD — Daniel Jensen, previously senior veep of resort services at Universal Orlando, was named executive vice president for Universal Studios Japan on Monday.
Jensen will be responsible for the oversight and development of operations and marketing at Universal Studios Japan’s Osaka theme park. His duties include supervising merchandise operations, food services, security and other park functions. He replaces Robert Gault, who is transferring to unspecified new projects in Universal Studios’ international business development operations.
Jensen began his U career at its Yosemite Park and Curry Co. subsidiary in 1979. He was previously a senior manager at PriceWaterhouse.
“His vast knowledge of the recreation and theme park industries, proven leadership skills and commitment to excellent guest service will strengthen Universal Studio Japan’s growing reputation,” said Universal Studios Recreation Group international prexy Glenn Gumpel.
U’s Osaka park opened March 31.
