Exec brings several clients to shingle
HOLLYWOOD — Management shingle Marathon Entertainment has added manager Alexander O. Hertzberg to its roster.
Hertzberg, who spent more than three years at UTA, had been heading up the literary efforts for Messina-Baker Entertainment prior to the move.
“I’ve believed in Alex’s potential since he was an assistant and feel quite lucky he’s become part of our family,” said Marathon topper Rick Siegel.
Hertzberg comes to the shingle with several clients, including small-screen helmer Linda Mendoza (“The Bernie Mac Show”), who recently signed on to direct feature film “Papi Chulo” for Fox 2000.
He has also brought writer-director Jonathan Schmock (“Dharma and Greg”), writer-producer J.J. Wall (“My Wife and Kids”), consulting producer Terry Mulroy (“Drew Carey,” “Nikki”), writer-director Marc Sedaka (“King of Queens,” “Inside Schwartz”) and others into the Marathon fold.
Unlike many other management companies, Marathon doesn’t produce projects under its own banner. Instead, Marathon assists clients in building their own production entities.
“I’ve been given the chance to prosper in a company that shares my philosophy,” said Hertzberg. “Marathon puts the interests of the client above all others.”
Bowing last spring, Marathon also reps a range of business and advertising clients.
