Alliance lifts O’Connor, signs Kerew

Exex upped to VP status

Alliance Atlantis has upped Shannon O’Connor, currently director of creative affairs for movies and minis, to a VP post. Also, company’s longform arm has tapped Diana Kerew VP of creative affairs.

Executive appointments were announced by Ed Gernon, exec veep of movies and minis, who said Alliance also has inked an exclusive deal with Kerew’s production shingle, Diana Kerew Prods., for development of movies and minis, as well as a first-look deal for features.

With Gernon, O’Connor currently oversees Alliance overall deals with Paula Weinstein’s Spring Creek Prods., Goldie Hawn’s Cosmic/Clearlight Prods., Howard Meltzer’s Turtleback Prods., Brenda Friend’s Old Beantown Prods. and Maria Nation; in all, he is supervising 50 hours of development under these deals.

Kerew, currently overseeing the development of “Wicked,” a four-hour mini for ABC, will continue to run her production company; Linda Carolei, director of development at the banner, also will work closely with Alliance under the deal.
