TV Loonland pacts with Nick, Nelvana

German toon house TV Loonland has inked a co-development pact with Nickelodeon and a co-production deal with Canada’s Nelvana.

Sunbow Entertainment, TV Loonland’s New York subsid, and the U.S. tyke channel will co-develop “Skeleton Key,” a comedy for 8- to 13-year-olds skedded for 2003 based on Slave Labor Graphics’ comic books by British writer Andi Watson about a teenager who has a key to a magic world.

Separately, TV Loonland and Nelvana will co-produce a new animated feature and TV series based on “Heidi,” the children’s classic by Swiss author Johanna Spyri.
