National Geographic Television has pacted with Munich-based Telcast for the distribution of footage from its film library.

The deal was announced Tuesday by the library’s VP, Matthew White, who said he expects the partnership to create a stronger local presence for NGT, and to connect with a new audience.

It gives Telcast the right to license more than 2,000 hours of NGT footage in the German market.
