MTV Networks Intl. inked 14 pre-sale deals for Nickelodeon’s first multimedia property, “Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius,” with many of the deals including online components, licensing and merchandising rights and feature film promotions.
“Jimmy Neutron” will begin life as a feature film next spring, while the TV series will follow in the fall. As part of its rollout strategy, “Jimmy Neutron” will first be seen on-air in a series of two-minute comedy interstitials featuring characters from the film. Launching in conjunction with each short will be an online game kids can play.
Broadcast partners include Germany’s Super RTL, Portugal’s SIC, Singapore’s TV12 and Spain’s Antena 3.
