HOLLYWOOD — Pras, one of the founding members of hip-hop group the Fugees, has parted ways with the United Talent Agency and has inked with Writers & Artists Agency.
The musician-thesp, whose musical collaborations include stints with Michael Jackson, Destiny’s Child and Jean, recently landed a label deal with Elektra Records.
On the feature side, Pras’ credits include, producing and starring in “Turn It Up” for New Line, as well as a role in “Mystery Men” for Universal Pictures.
His fledgling production shingle, Warning Films, with writer-director Jean Claude LaMarre, recently wrapped the college-comedy “Higher Ed,” which Urbanworld Films nabbed for worldwide distribution rights. Warning Films is in post-production on “Go for Broke.” Both pics will star Pras, who is gearing up to produce and topline the New Regency pic “The Last Ride,” with Bernie Mac.
