LONDON — MTV Europe can now be seen in more than 100 million homes.

The recent move of MTVE’s Italian channel, MTV Italia, to terrestrial web TMC2 – upping the service’s reach by 32% to nearly 16 million households – as well as a series of small Spanish distribution deals, has put the pan-European broadcaster over the top.

MTVE operates 13 localized feeds across 43 territories with German-lingo MTV Central accounting for about a third of total distribution.

MTVE prexy and chief exec Brent Hansen said MTVE’s “aggressive regionalization strategy” had made it the most widely distributed music TV web in Europe.
