MCA Records topper Jay Boberg and exec VP Paul Satenstein have promoted veteran accounting exec Albert Lomeli to chief financial officer at the Universal Music Group imprint.
Based in Santa Monica, Lomeli will oversee accounting and finance, including business planning and analysis, as well as the administration of the label’s marketing and A&R budgets. Exec replaces Satenstein, whom Boberg bumped up to exec VP in February.
Lomeli began his tour of duty at MCA as controller, moving up to vice president of finance in 1999. Before that, he worked as director of accounting for the Dave Grusin/Larry Rosen-founded jazz imprint GRP Records.
Starting his career at accounting firm Arthur Andersen, Lomeli also has worked at Warner Bros., first in its audit advisory department and later as manager and controller of Warner Home Video.
