Show returns, fetes artists in wacky categories

HOLLYWOOD — VH1′s My Music Awards, the make-your-own kudocast that allows fans to fete an artist for such wacky categories as “booty shake of the year,” is gearing up for its sophomore run. Show is skedded for Dec. 2.

Cabler has set up a voting shop on VH1.com. Fans can log on and begin suggesting award categories and nominees.

Categories will be finalized on Oct. 1, and five nominees in each category will be announced on Nov. 2. Winners will be determined the night of the kudocast.

This year’s event also gives fans the opportunity to design the “My VH1 Music Awards” statuette. Fans can submit their designs through Sept. 30.
