Westwood dials up Leykis

Stays put through at least '07

Westwood One and KLSX-FM have sealed a new deal with shock talker Tom Leykis, keeping his popular afternoon gabfest on the station for at least six more years.

Announcement comes shortly after Arbitron released its latest winter trend numbers for the Los Angeles market; “The Tom Leykis Show” continues to gain in most demo categories among all talkshows.

New pact will keep Leykis, who joined KLSX in 1997, on the station through at least ’07. He is heard on stations across the country in markets including Seattle, Detroit and Boston.

“Tom Leykis is a proven ratings and revenue winner,” said Westwood One prexy-CEO Joel Hollander.

Leykis had a syndie talker in development last year at Telepictures.
