HarperCollins has locked up rights to C.S. Lewis collection in a long-term, substantial seven-figure deal.
HarperCollins’s deal with the C.S. Lewis Co. covers both children’s and adult titles by the prolific novelist, theologian and critic, who died in 1963.
It allows HarperCollins to remain the exclusive English-language publisher of the Narnia books and develop new titles based on the original books. And eight books by Lewis that have thus far been published by HarperCollins U.K. will now be published by HarperCollins worldwide.
