NEW YORK — Victoria Bailey has been named executive director of the Theatre Development Fund. John Breglio, chairman of the TDF board, made the announcement Tuesday. Bailey replaces Jack Goldstein, who left the post Dec. 31.
Bailey had been general manager of the Manhattan Theater Club for 15 years. Over the past year, she has worked as a consultant for the newly created Play Co. Its first production, Leslie Ayvazian’s “High Dive,” opened last month; it was produced in conjunction with MCC Theater and the Long Wharf Theatre.
The not-for-profit TDF is best known today for its TKTS Discount Theatre Centres in Times Square and at 2 World Trade Center. It also sponsors several educational and audience outreach programs, and has provided financial subsidy to more than 700 plays since the fund’s creation in 1968.
