Injury causes thesp to adjust 'Sexaholix' sched, perf
John Leguizamo has pushed back the Broadway opening of his new one-person show, “Sexaholix … a Love Story,” from Nov. 4 to Dec. 2 Performances will continue as scheduled at the Royale Theater.
Delay is a result of a leg injury sustained by Leguizamo during his regular pre-show warmup last Thursday, causing the cancellation of that evening’s performance. A spokesman for the show said Leguizamo was taken to Roosevelt Hospital, where he was treated for a torn hamstring muscle and released. The show resumed on Friday evening, with Leguizamo making adjustments in his performance to accommodate the injury.
The limited six-week engagement, which began Oct. 9, was previously extended through Dec. 9. Performances have now been scheduled through Jan. 6.
