Comics hear ‘Dinner’ bell

Lovitz, Miller replacing Ritter and Winkler in legiter

Jon Lovitz and Larry Miller are skedded to make their Broadway debuts in Neil Simon’s “The Dinner Party” at the Music Box Theatre on June 12.

Lovitz, who starred on “Saturday Night Live” for five seasons, replaces Henry Winkler in the comedy, with Miller taking over for John Ritter. Miller had recurring roles on “Mad About You” and “Law & Order.”

Both Ritter and Winkler have been with the show since its world premiere in Los Angeles at the Mark Taper Forum in December 1999. The production then played the Kennedy Center in summer 2000 before opening in Gotham on Oct. 19.

Lovitz and Miller will join original Broadway cast members Len Cariou, Penny Fuller, Veanne Cox and Jan Maxwell.
