Mostow/Lieberman nabs Army laffer pic 'Sissymarys'
Universal-based production shingle Mostow/Lieberman has paid a low-six- against mid-six-figure sum to acquire “Sissymarys.”
Penned by Craig Moss and Steve Schoenburg, pic is a comedy about two flamboyant men who are forced to join the Army and prove their manhood in the process.
Mostow/Lieberman president of production Rich Silverman is overseeing the project for company principals Jonathan Mostow and Hal Lieberman, who will produce.
Moss and Schoenburg, who are managed by Bender-Spink and repped by Endeavor, previously teamed on “Short Hills,” which was set up at the Mark Canton Co. Moss also previously directed a short film, “Saving Ryan’s Privates.”
Mostow/Lieberman has also picked up an untitled drama pitch from screenwriter Kelly Kennemer.
