Stake in L.A.-based Capella among its assets

BERLIN — Frank Woessner has stepped down from the top post at Bertelsmann’s book division, but he’ll have plenty to do at German film group CoproMedia, which is revamping for a more aggressive international profile.

Company, which owns film fund CP Medien, is bundling its various activities under one roof.

“My duties will be to help lead and support international expansion,” said Woessner, who was appointed chairman of CoproMedia’s supervisory board in January and now holds the same post at CP Medien.

CP Medien’s stake in Los Angeles-based Capella Films will be among the assets brought into CoproMedia.
