WB gives Johns VP stripes

Exec to o'see int'l distribution, acquisitions, co-prod'ns

Brenda Johns has been named vice president of international distribution at Warner Bros. Pictures. She will be responsible for supporting the department’s distribution efforts on all Warners-produced titles, as well as international acquisitions and co-productions.

Johns, who most recently held the post of director of international distribution at Spyglass Entertainment, will be part of the team that formulates release strategies, projects revenue/cost estimates and evaluates the competitive environment. She also will oversee the box office collection process and review contractual agreements regarding rights and third-party producers.

Before Spyglass, Johns was VP contract/marketing administration for Spelling Films. She’s also held positions at Morgan Creek Prods., Lorimar Intl. and Vestron Intl. Group.
