Stephen Dorff, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Christian Slater are in talks to star in the time-travel thriller “The I Inside” for Mark Damon’s MDP Worldwide.
MDP will fully finance the project, which is budgeted at approximately $10 million. Pic is based on Michael Cooney’s upcoming stage play, “Point of Death,” which is being produced by Tony Award-winning playwright Bill Kenwright (“Blood Brothers,” “An Ideal Husband”).
In this contemporary f/x-driven thriller, a man awakens in the hospital with amnesia and discovers he can travel back in time to change his future and solve the mystery of his brother’s murder.
Adapted by Cooney, “Inside” marks the playwright’s third feature, having helmed horror pic “Jack Frost” and its sequel. Vicki Slotnick and Jeremy Paige will produce for MDP.
“Point of Death” is scheduled to bow on stage in England in September and transfer to London’s West End after Halloween.
At AFM, MDP Worldwide is also repping Peter Hyams’ high-profile action-adventure “D’Artagnan,” starring Tim Roth, Stephen Rea, Catherine Deneuve, Nick Moran and Justin Chambers; “The Extremists,” for director Christian Duguay; “Fear.com,” for director William Malone; and “The Body,” starring Antonio Banderas, Olivia Williams and Derek Jacobi.
