Femme trio to topline Miller vignettes

Kyra Sedgwick, Parker Posey and Fairuza Balk will topline the feature “Enter Fleeing” for Gary Winick and John Sloss’ Independent Digital Entertainment (InDigEnt), IFC Prods. and Goldheart Pictures.

Written and directed by Rebecca Miller — based on Miller’s book of short stories, “Personal Velocity,” to be published by Grove Atlantic in the fall — pic tells the tales of three women’s escapes from their afflicted lives. Greta (Posey), Delia (Sedgwick) and Paula (Balk) have one thing in common: Each struggles to flee from the men who confine their personal freedom.

Ellen Kuras (“Caveman’s Valentine”) will serve as director of photography. Pic will be produced by Winick, Lemore Syvan and Alexis Alexanian, with Sloss, Jonathan Sehring and Caroline Kaplan of IFC Prods. serving as exec producers.

Project, which began lensing Friday, is skedded for a four-week shoot in Gotham and upstate New York.

Miller’s frosh feature “Angela” nabbed the Filmmakers Trophy and Cinematography awards at Sundance as well as the Gotham Award in 1995.

Posey, repped by Endeavor and managed by Widescreen Ltd., will next appear in “The Sweetest Thing” for Columbia and in Fine Line’s “The Anniversary Party.”

Sedgwick, handled by the William Morris Agency and Talent Entertainment Group, recently wrapped “Door to Door” for Showtime and “Still a Kiss” for Fisher Stevens.

Balk, who last appeared in “Almost Famous,” will next be seen in “Deuces Wild” with Stephen Dorff and Brad Renfro. She is repped by Vanguard Management.
