Sweden’s SF, Carlstrom in pact

World Brief

Svensk Filmindustri (SF) has signed a first look deal with Bjorn Carlstrom Produktion to exclusively develop and produce feature films for the local market, which currently comprises up to eight movies a year.

Carlstrom has set up his own shingle after 10 years with Sonet Film, where he produced Swedish director Kjell Sundvall’s award-winning “The Hunters,” which took 750,000 admissions domestically. His credits also include Daniel Lind Lagerlof’s “Breaking Out” and Anders Nilsson’s “Zero Tolerance.”

Besides Carlstrom, SF has an alliance with British helmer Colin Nutley’s Sweetwater, which has three pictures in the pipeline.
