Stiles beguiles MGM’s ‘Guy’

Thesp joins Lee in Koch-helmed pic

Julia Stiles will receive in the neighborhood of $4 million to star opposite Jason Lee in the MGM comedy “A Guy Thing” for David Ladd Films. Chris Koch (“Snow Day”) directs, with the pic expected to move into production by mid-November.

Penned by Greg Glianna and Pete Schwaba, with a rewrite by Matt Tarses and Bill Wrubel, “Guy” is the story of a young man (Lee) who wakes up the morning after his bachelor party with a mystery woman (Stiles) in his bed. Terrified that he’s cheated on his fiancee, he tries to cover up his would-be betrayal.

Pic will be co-produced by David Kerwin and Ladd production VP Danielle Sterling. David Nicksay serves as executive producer.

Stiles, who’s repped by UTA and Lighthouse Entertainment, just wrapped “Carolina” for Miramax and currently stars in “O.”

Lee, who is currently in “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” will also be seen in the upcoming “Big Trouble” and “Vanilla Sky.” He’s repped by UTA and Ribisi Entertainment.
