News Corp.-owned movie channel Star has signed a new output deal with DreamWorks Distribution.

Star has acquired exclusive pay TV rights to 40 DreamWorks films for its key markets in India and Pakistan. It’s an extension of a nine-pic deal that the two companies sealed in June 2000 and includes “The Haunting,” “American Beauty” and “Chicken Run.”

Star’s library includes rights to pics from 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney, MGM/UA and Canal Plus.
