HOLLYWOOD — Universal Pictures chairman Stacey Snider will receive the 2001 HELP Humanitarian Award for her work helping children with special needs.
The honor will be presented June 7 at the group’s 24th annual spring luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Brian Grazer, chairman of Imagine Entertainment, and Universal Studios prexy Ron Meyer are luncheon co-chairs.
“Stacey’s absolute dedication to furthering the causes of children is extraordinary and inspiring,” Grazer said.
The organization helps children with autism, Asperger’s syndrome, learning disabilities, emotional development problems, mental retardation, abuse and neglect. The Los Angeles group served more than 3,500 children and families last year.
