BERLIN — German production, licensing and distribution company Senator Entertainment recorded a 70% increase in revenues and a 46% rise in profits in the first three months of the year.
Bolstered by strong biz in its licensing and theatrical divisions, revenues hit 23.5 million euros ($20.14 million) and profits of $1.37 million.
Lasse Hallstrom’s “Chocolat” and local pics “Now or Never” and “The Experiment” helped improve distrib numbers.
Licensing sales went from $1.8 million to $10.28 million, due largely to Senator’s renewed global sales activities.
After recently launching and shuttering its Amberlon Pictures sales division in London, Senator is running the L.A.-based sales entity Senator Intl.
