HOLLYWOOD — Bryan Hickel has assumed the role of VP of production for Adam Schroeder’s newly formed Warner Bros. shingle.
Exec, who spent five years at New Line Cinema and had last worn veep stripes, found himself jobless following a shakeout at that company in January. At New Line, Hickel had been working on such projects as “Cheaters,” the Al Pacino starrer “Simone” and the Denzel Washington drama “John Q.”
Prior to following the development track, Hickel worked at New Line as a temp and an assistant to distribution prexy Al Shapiro.
Schroeder, who served as prexy of production for Scott Rudin, holds producer credits on such pics as “Sleepy Hollow,” “A Simple Plan” and “The Truman Show.” His exec producer credits include “Shaft,” “Rules of Engagement,” “Wonder Boys,” “Angela’s Ashes” and “In & Out.”
