Red Wagon ups Shane

Creative exec named VP

Douglas Wick and Lucy Fisher’s Sony-based Red Wagon Entertainment has upped creative executive Rachel Shane to VP.

Shane will continue to foster new projects, as well as help supervise development and production of slated pics, including “Dreadnought,” to be directed by McG. She will continue to report to company prexy Gail Lyon.

“Rachel is one of the fastest learning and most impressive young executives I have ever encountered,” said Fisher.

“She has an unswerving eye for real talent, and we have already profited greatly from this rarest of all abilities,” added Wick.

Shane, who got her start in development at Imagine Entertainment, previously worked for Betty Thomas and Jenno Topping’s Tall Tree Prods.

Red Wagon is in post-production on the Brad Pitt/Robert Redford starrer “Spy Game” and “Stuart Little 2.”
