‘Planet’s’ Nall launches 11:11 MediaWorks

Cyberbiz Brief

F/x artist Roger Nall (“Planet of the Apes,” “Swordfish”) has launched 11:11 MediaWorks, a Van Nuys, Calif.-based visual f/x boutique for films and television projects. Company will specialize in f/x design and production, digital post-production repair and the creation of custom motion graphics and design services.

Outfit employs five full-time staffers and has the ability to ramp-up to as many as 25 artists.

Most recently, Nall was partner and operator of Sota Digital, a unit of Sota F/X, also in Van Nuys, which he founded in 1998 as a Mac-based f/x house. While there, Nall served as visual f/x supervisor on films including “The Crow: Salvation” and “Tequila Body Shots” and the CBS mini-series “An American Tragedy.” He also worked independently as a digital f/x artist on larger studio projects. Sota Digital has now become a division of 11:11 MediaWorks.
