LONDON — FilmFour has struck a first-look deal with Pipedream Pictures, the production company of writer-director John McKay and producer Lee Thomas.
McKay’s debut pic “Crush” was financed by FilmFour and his next movie, “Knickers,” is already in development with the mini-studio.
“Crush” stars Andie MacDowell as a school principal who attracts the disapproval of her friends when she starts an affair with a toyboy. Sony Pictures Classics recently picked up U.S. rights. Pic opens Sept. 28 in the U.K.
“Knickers” is a romantic comedy set in the lingerie department of a London department store during World War II.
