“Cast Away,” “Gladiator,” “Mission: Impossible 2,” “The Perfect Storm,” “Space Cowboys,” “U-571,” and “Unbreakable” are the seven films being considered for this year’s sound editing Oscar statuette.
Ten-minute clips from each will be screened for the sound editing award nominating committee on Feb 6. Members may nominate up to three of the seven films for Oscar consideration, or recommend a single film for a special achievement award, or recommend that no award be given in this category.
