HOLLYWOOD — MGM expanded its board to 12 members Thursday with the appointment of Canadian investment banker Henry Winterstern.
Winterstern is president of Winterstern & Associates in Montreal, where he has been active in sales, acquisitions and financing in media, entertainment and real estate. He is also on the board of Mosaic Media Group, a Montreal-based film, music and management group.
“Henry’s wealth of knowledge and insight into capital markets, combined with his wide-ranging experience in the media and entertainment sectors, complements MGM’s board,” chairman and CEO Alex Yemenidjian said. “We look forward to his valued counsel and contributions.”
Shareholders will vote on the appointment at MGM’s annual meeting May 2 in Century City. Filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola and retired statesman Alexander Haig Jr. are among MGM’s continuing directors.
