Nicole Kidman is in negotiations to topline contemporary thriller “The Forgotten” for Revolution Studios.
Pic centers on a woman (Kidman) and a man in their 30s who come together in search of answers after the abduction of their children goes unsolved.
Revolution topper Joe Roth picked up the script from veteran scribe Gerald Di Pego (who penned the Jennifer Lopez starrer “Angel Eyes”) for a seven-figure sum last September, making it the studio’s most expensive spec script purchase to date.
No director has been attached to the project.
Roth had previously worked with Di Pego on the John Travolta starrer “Phenomenon” during his tenure running the Mouse House.
Kidman, who is repped by CAA, next appears in Paramount’s “The Hours” for director Stephen Daldry and producer Scott Rudin.
She is also set to star in “Dogville” for Danish director Lars von Trier and in Lakeshore Entertainment’s bigscreen adaptation of Philip Roth’s “The Human Stain” with Anthony Hopkins.
