Inside Move: Limp’s Durst dithers on pix

Next move unclear for singer/helmer

Six months after producers were fighting for the right to make Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst’s feature directorial debut, it’s no clearer what or that film could be or when it will happen.

Intermedia’s “Wannabe” seemed to be the rock star’s first love, but Durst has since abandoned the project over “creative differences.” Now he’s turned his attention to Catch 23’s “Runt,” but another helmer has begun circling that pic as a possible feature bow — Emmy-nominated helmer Allen Coulter, whose credits include “The Sopranos” and “Sex and the City.”

A dark story of an outcast teen, the $10 million “Runt” will be produced by Michael London for release through Universal Focus. If all else fails, Durst is still attached to “Life Without Joe,” a thriller for which Immortal Films’ Happy Walters is currently seeking financing.
