Vulcan Inc. has hired Richard Hutton as vice president of media development.
Hutton will oversee the feature film and documentary teams at Vulcan’s Clear Blue Sky Prods. (“The Safety of Objects,” “Titus,” “Me & Isaac Newton”). He will also manage a variety of content partnerships, business and distribution deals and professional relationships in the film, television and Internet worlds.
“I’m excited to be joining the vibrant team of professionals at Vulcan,” Hutton said. “After several years spearheading the (TV series) ‘Evolution’ project and its team, it’s a thrill to be going inhouse at Vulcan and to be able to continue my relationship with Vulcan’s various media projects and Clear Blue Sky Prods.’ ongoing slate of documentary and feature film projects.”
Hutton was previously the executive producer of “Evolution,” which premiered nationwide Sept. 24 on PBS. Before that, Hutton was senior VP of creative development at Walt Disney Imagineering.
