'Pearl,' 'Nature' among offerings

Among the docs on offer along the Cannes Croisette are:

  • National Geographic’s “Pearl Harbor: Legacy of an Attack,” commemorates the 60th anni of Pearl Harbor. Nat Geo Channels around the globe will premiere it on May 27.

  • Channel 4 Intl.’s “Hell in the Pacific” is another take on the WWII theater and includes archival materials and location shots over water.

  • Canal Plus Docstar’s “Out in Nature” gets candid about the subject of animal homosexuality.

  • AAC Fact, Alliance Atlantis’ factual division, is screening “Gladiatrix, ” about female gladiators.

  • Canada’s Salter Street is premiering “Kink,” a docudrama shot on handheld video that explores alternative sexuality.
