Harder to get rid of than roaches, the zombies are back for a fourth visit to the world above in “Children of the Living Dead,” which will be on display courtesy of Quantum Entertainment at the American Film Market.
The fourth installment in the horror series has many links onscreen and behind the camera to its famous predecessors.
Joe Wolf, producer of horror hits “Halloween,” “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and co-creator of the original “Night of the Living Dead,” returns for this sequel with his daughter Karen Lee Wolf, who wrote and co-produced “Children.” The original film’s co-writer, John Russo, returns to share producing duties, while the film crew shot in the same town “Night” did more than 30 years ago.
Directed by Tor Ramsey, and starring Tom Savini, Martin Schiff and Damien Luvara, this episode follows a young man from Idaho who inherits the farmland where the zombies first appeared and wants to develop it into a car dealership. Abbott Hayes (A. Barrett Worland), the first zombie and thus the controller of the rest of the undead, has other plans.
