Nick Hamm gets new assignment
NEW YORK — APG and StudioCanal have tapped Nick Hamm to direct “Godsend,” a horror thriller the companies are pushing into production early next year.
Pic will be produced by APG’s prexy of production Cathy Schulman along with “American Beauty” line producer Stan Wlodkowski. Exec in charge of production for APG is Sean O’Keefe.
Movie is in pre-production, with casting commencing in the coming weeks. Mark Bomback penned “The Omen”-like script, which centers on a couple who lose their son in an accidental shooting, then endeavor to regenerate him.
Hamm last helmed the Pathe-produced Thora Birch starrer “The Hole,” picked up by Dimension Films.
Headed into production in February for APG is “Timeline,” based on the Michael Crichton novel, with Richard Donner directing and Lauren Shuler Donner producing for Paramount. Pic stars Paul Walker and Gerald Butler. The APG-produced “Sidewalks of New York” will be released Nov. 21 via Paramount Classics.
