World Brief

German film company H5B5 is joining producer Itzhak Rubin for a TV pic about the life of celebrated Israeli actress Orna Porat.

The film is scheduled to lens next year in Germany and Israel.

Porat, who is starring in Rubin’s “Shkarim Levanim” (White Lies), was born in Germany to a Protestant family. During the Nazi era, she became an actress and a member of the Hitler Youth. She later married Joseph Porat, a Jewish British officer who interrogated her when she tried to leave Germany.

H5B5’s Michal Conford is producing the project. Company is in talks with other international broadcasters to co-produce.
