State Street producing pic focusing on femme gov't agents

HOLLYWOOD — Fox 2000 has plunked down a six-figure sum for Craig Fernandez’s action pitch “Four Deep.”

Story concerns a secret government intelligence team of four female agents, each with her own deadly talents. Team is sent to Europe to gather information about a suspicious medical lab and end up mixing it up with the bad guys.

Fox-based State Street Pictures’ Bob Teitel and George Tillman (“Navy Diver”) are producing the project, described as a summer-event pic.

State Street production veep Karen Kaufman, who brought “Four Deep” to the shingle, will oversee the project along with Teitel and Tillman.

Fox 2000 production director Jack Leslie is shepherding “Four Deep” for Elizabeth Gabler’s division.

Fernandez, who is repped by WMA, recently penned Fox 2000’s “Biker Boyz” for tyro helmer Reggie Rock Bythewood.

CAA-repped Teitel and Tillman are in pre-production on MGM’s “Barbershop,” starring rappers Ice Cube and Eve.

The State Street duo also recently set up Latino comedy pitch “Avenue A” at Fox Searchlight.
