Dimension has Nerve to go ‘Buck Wild’

Pic portrays mild-mannered guys by day, strippers by night

NEW YORK — Dimension Films is getting cheeky with erotic media company Nerve.com. The Miramax genre label has tapped Malcolm Lee (“Undercover Brother”) to adapt and helm “Buck Wild,” a project based on an article, “Chaps in the Hood,” that appeared in Nerve, the print companion to Nerve.com.

Article portrays the double lives of a group of male strippers who hold low-key jobs by day and perform in a Harlem nightclub at night before hundreds of screaming women.

“Chaps” will be produced in association with NerveProductions.

In an effort to ramp up its film activity, Nerve has tapped Alisa Volkman to be its new veep of film development.

“Chaps” was brought into Dimension and will be overseen there by Peter Schwerin, veep of production and development, and Jesse Berdinka, director of production and development. Brian Burkin, senior veep of business and legal affairs, negotiated for the mini-major.
