Dances fest names top pix

'Shadow Glories' nabs best film

The winners of this year’s Dances With Films Festival, billed as the “the only U.S. fest geared solely for the unknowns,” were announced Monday in Los Angeles.

“Shadow Glories” took best film honors in the feature competition. “Triangle Square” earned the audience prize and “Love & Support” got the nod for best writing in the category.

In the short films competition, “Speak” nabbed the best picture award, “The Etiquette Man” took the audience prize and “Some Kinda Joke” won kudos for best writing.

Fest was held July 25-30 at the Lot in West Hollywood.
