Exec ankles Fine Line to be sr. VP of acquisitions

TORONTO — Arianna Bocco has ankled Fine Line Features to join Miramax Films as senior veep of acquisitions.

Bocco will relocate to Gotham, where she will report to Agnes Mentre, Miramax exec veep of acquisitions and co-productions.

“We are so pleased that Arianna is coming to join our team in New York,” Mentre said. “Her experience and reputation are stellar, and she brings strength to Miramax through her relationships and creative talents.”

Bocco added: “I’m thrilled to come home to New York City and join the terrific acquisitions team at Miramax, where I can continue to build on the experiences and relationships that I developed while at Fine Line.”

Bocco had served as veep of acquisitions and production for New Line and Fine Line. She was instrumental in acquiring “The Anniversary Party,” “Saving Grace,” “Trick” and “Dungeons and Dragons.”

Bocco also played a key role in securing and packaging “The Invisible Circus.” She began her career at Fine Line as a development assistant and was promoted to her current post in 1999. Prior to joining Fine Line, Bocco held positions at ICM and the Steve Tisch Co.
