Troche sets ‘Changed’ pic

Helmer penning original sequel to Shelley's 'Frankenstein'

TORONTO — With her Toronto Intl. Film Festival world premiere pic “The Safety of Objects” generating acquisitions interest here, helmer Rose Troche has committed to her next project — “Lucinda’s Changed.”

French financier TFI Intl. will fund the pic’s development. Gotham and London-based producer Dorothy Berwin will produce via her InFilm Prods. Troche is writing the script, an original sequel to Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.”

Berwin produced “The Safety of Objects” along with Killer Films, as well as Troche’s earlier “Bedrooms and Hallways.” She also produced “Walking and Talking” and Jude Law starrer “Wisdom of Crocodiles”; latter will be released by Miramax. Berwin is developing Patricia Highsmith’s novel “Carol” with Sandra Goldbacher, who helmed “The Governess” and the recent Venice film fest entry “Me Without You.”
