‘Diver’ tops Finland’s Tampere

Local filmmaker P.V. Lehtinen’s “The Diver” scooped three awards at the 31st Tampere Short Film Festival, which ended Sunday.

The black and white pic netted the national competition, the international Grand Prix and the Risto Jarva award for most promising young filmmaker.

The five-day fest screened 528 films from 42 countries including classic Peruvian and Belgian shorts and a screening of Nazi filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl’s works.
