Prod’n panel pegs Clinton

Sept. confab to discuss runaway prod'n

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has agreed to appear on a Creative Coalition/Screen Actors Guild panel discussing runaway production next month.

The confab, skedded for Sept. 10 at Sotheby’s in Gotham, will also include Creative Coalition prexy William Baldwin and SAG presidential candidate Valerie Harper. SAG board member Joe Pantoliano and Tony Goldwyn will serve as moderators.

The event is a follow-up to last week’s Capitol Hill panel, which was chaired by Baldwin, took place on the same day that Sen. Blanche Lambert Lincoln (D-Ark.), introduced a wage-based tax credit bill to keep U.S. productions with budgets of under $10 million from fleeing.

The orgs have also planned a Sept. 24 confab on runaway production in San Francisco and an Oct. 18 event at SAG headquarters in Hollywood.
