CANNES — Catherine Zeta-Jones is returning to Wales to produce “Coming Out,” a comedy to be directed by Sara Sugarman.
Project is being developed by Milkwood Films, the Los Angeles-based shingle of Zeta-Jones and her brother Lyndon Jones.
He first came up with the idea of the film, a comedy set in a Welsh rugby club, and pitched it to his sister.
“Catherine feels passionately about maintaining her ties with Wales and about doing what she can to promote filmmaking in Wales,” he said.
Zeta-Jones commented, “I think Wales has immense talent both in front of and behind the camera, and I am excited about the prospects of this film, which has a charming script and will be directed by one of our most interesting directors.”
Sugarman previously helmed “Very Annie Mary” and “Mad Cows.”
